たまに、「こいつは政治家のくせに頭が悪い」と言う人がいる。そういう人はたぶん、政治家とは何かということがわかっていない。政治家は、頭が悪いのが当たり前だ。もしかして、頭のいい人に一票を投じているのか？もしそうだとしたら、考えを改めたほうがいい。

頭のいい人に一票を投じたらどうなるか。きっとそいつは、頭のいい人の論理に従って、頭のいい人のための政治をする。その結果、頭のいい人にとって都合の良い社会ができる。東大卒だけが天下りで大儲けできるような仕組みを作ったり、低賃金で苦しむ人を「お前らはバカだからしょうがない」と放置したりする。

だから、自分があまり頭がよくないなら、頭のいい人に一票を投じてはいけないのだ。自分と同じくらいのレベルの人間に一票を投じなくてはならない。それが、「自分たちの代表」ということだ。
